The flagship mechanical suit leading the charge for Project Horus, the Interplanetary Space Vessel (ISV) Hermes is renown across Sector Caelitus as a symbol for Javelin Operations' ingenuity and spirit. Equipped with a unique twin CRADLE operating system, its humanoid frame is operated by two pilots: JACKAL and USAGI. At a staggering sixty-five standard units tall, it's no wonder why the incredible machine requires two pilots to operate it successfully.
Though Hermes boasts an extensive arsenal of plasma and energy weapons, it was not built specifically for combat operations, and mostly handles support, maintenance, and delivery operations.
Unlike most vessels within the project, ISV Hermes does not rely on a gravity engine to operate and instead receives power from an internal core. This unique core gives it a few distinctive advantages: hyper-propulsion, regeneration, and a greatly extended operating window just to name a few.
The Hermes is deployed only on hand-picked jobs suitable for its specific niche and unique properties.
Records of its previous assignments are available via INFOREQ (cd.1759) through the Horus Station portal.
